Eurofan Home Concerts – Part 2!

Our first ever Eurofan Home Concert was a success! Thank you to everyone who submitted covers – we were overwhelmed with the response!

Which means… We’re doing another one!

Want in? Send a video of you covering your favorite Eurovision song to starspangledeurovision@gmail.com by Tuesday, June 16th! Please include your name (and/or twitter handle) and your country. When submitting your video, we’ve noticed that Dropbox and WeTransfer work best, but if you’re using google, just make sure you give us permission to access the video!

Some things to keep in mind while making your video:

  • You can perform the song however you want! Acapella, karaoke, playing your own instruments, original dances, we’ll accept it all. Just make sure we can hear you over the music.
  • Feel free to briefly introduce yourself and tell us where you’re from and why you chose the song you did! Just keep the video under 4 minutes.
  • Do NOT cover “Euphoria”! We’re tired of hearing it. In fact, the more out of left field your cover is the better! Keep it to official Eurovision entries though for now.
  • Don’t be shy! Belt your lungs out, reach for those high notes, and improvise however you want. We don’t care if you’re good, just have fun! Plus, extra points for costumes and Eurovision decor.

Thanks in advance for participating, and we’re really looking forward to hearing your voices! We’re sure they’re lovely…

The Eurovision 2020 Debrief w/ AmeriVision

Eurovision week is over, and we’ve all collectively laughed, cried, and drank our feelings through these troubled times. But this week had a whole lot of content to consume, so join us and our new friends Adam and Connor from the AmeriVision podcast as we break down all of the Eurovision content we were able to watch this week, including the alternative EBU broadcast, Eurovision: Europe Shine a Light. We also reveal the winners of our 2nd Annual Star Spangled Jury and reflect on this wild Eurovision season while trying not to cry.

Want in on the first ever Eurofan Home Concert? Submissions are due by Tuesday, May 19th. More details here.

And don’t forget to check out AmeriVision!

Eurofan Home Concerts

Obviously we couldn’t get enough of the Eurovision Home Concerts this year, and hopefully they’re coming back! But while they take a break, we figured out a way to fill that gaping hole in our Friday schedules while simultaneously relieving some of that post-Eurovision depression: why not get all you eurofans to cover your Eurovision favorites!

Thus was Eurofan Home Concerts born, and it will premier on our yet-to-be-created YouTube page on Friday, May 22nd!

Best part? No talent required! This is solely just for fun and to show the world just how big a eurofan you really are.
